Host a Successful Kava Party In The Sims 4 Island Living

Who doesn’t want treasures? Host a gold medal Kava Party to get one! You need The Sims 4 Island Living to unlock this social event.

Get a literal taste of island tradition by holding your own Kava Party! Use the special Kava Bowl to mix up your own batch and raise a toast to your friends, old and new. Disclaimer: Excessive consumption of Kava may lead to prolonged and extreme levels of relaxation. EXTREME. RELAXATION.

Make Preparations for you Kava Party

We’ll help you get started and get prepared to host the perfect gold medal party.

• Turn on your radio (and buy one if you don’t have one)
• Prepare around 3 bowls of Kava
• Start cooking a group meal, but don’t complete it! Just leave the meal on the counter until the correct goal pops up.

Where to find kava bowls?

You can find Kava Bowls in buy mode. Look for Kava in the search bar or browse through activities and skills to find them.

Get the Kava Party started!

When you have everything ready for the party it’s time to put it in motion. Go to your phone and click on Plan a Social Event. Select Kava Party. Choose one or more hosts for your party. Next invite the guests. Select every member from your household so they can also complete goals. Now choose the place where you want to host your party. This can also be at a venue if you’d like.

Tip: If there’s a holiday going on (requires The Sims 4 Seasons) you can’t select a goaled event and earn rewards, you’ll have to wait for another day to throw a party.

Complete Goals

You’ll have to earn the medal within 6 hours. So make sure you complete as many goals as possible. Every Sim can complete goals, this includes invited guests. With every kava party there is a selection with goals to complete, not all goals listed below will come up at every party but it’s recommended to prepare for it in case they do.

Tip: Don’t let your Sim drink too much Kava, it will make them dazed and it will affect their behavior. This makes it harder to complete goals.

Main Goal

If you want to host a successful social event, you must meet the main goal. If you complete the main goal you will get a Bronze Reward. In order to get a Silver or Gold medal you need to complete the additional goals shown below the main goal.

Additional Goals

You need to complete a numerous of additional goals to get the gold party medal. We’ll explain how to complete them all.

• Invite Guests to Drink Kava (0/1)
  Click on a bowl of prepared Kava and select Call to Grab Drink
• Grab a Drink of Kava (0/3)
  Click on a filled bowl of Kava and Grab a Drink. Servings grabbed by guest Sims also count!
• Make a Kava Toast (0/1)
  With a cup of Kava in hand, select another Sim then make a friendly Kava Toast.
• Invite Guests to Drink Kava (0/1)
  Click on a bowl of prepared Kava and select Call to Grab Drink.
• Make a Group Meal (0/1)
  Click the Refrigerator, select Cook, and select any multi-serving recipe.
• Tell Jokes (0/2)
  You can tell jokes about aliens or try knock knock jokes.
• Have Sims Dance at the Same Time (0/3)
  Turn on a radio and make your Sim dance to the music. Click on other Sims to invite them for a dance.
• Tell Stories (0/3)
  Click on a Sim for a friendly interaction and select a group, engaging or a dramatic story.
• Have Sims Eating at the Same Time (0/3)
  Make a group meal and select call to meal.

Kava Party Rewards

You will only get 1 kind of reward depending on your medal. You’won’t get all 3 when you earn your gold medal for this party

Gold Medal Rewards – You’ll get one item of the Buried Treasure collection. This is a very valuable collection to obtain. You can also enable their emotional aura and this will make the Sims around the treasures confident.

Silver Medal Rewards – You’ll get a random shell from the shell collection.

Bronze Medal Reward – 3 Kava root
