The SimGuru’s have been answering Simmers questions for the last few days. This is not a full Q&A but they have answered what they can at this moment in time.
No Q&A planned right now. We like to keep some of the mystery live. But much will be revealed in time.

A couple questions I can answer right now! @SimGuruGrant gave me great insight so send thanks his way.
1. There will be no new world because we wanted to focus entirely on making the existing worlds (and all their neighborhoods), as gorgeous as possible for all four seasons.
— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
2. Yes, the new kiddie pools can be used by toddlers. In fact this was the primary reason for creating this wonderful object!
— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
No tornadoes, but I approve of this pun. https://t.co/b7DFVgfKWR
— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 24, 2018
Hmm. Oh yeah. We did do that.
It'll be a part of the free update for you guys. Cannot wait to see what builders make. https://t.co/QoQX5lXF5Z

And our final question for today.
Q. Will there be new harvestables?
A. Yesiree— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Sorry. One of the trade offs we had to make. We'll try to create more soon!
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 25, 2018
Q. Can the sprinklers be used to water gardens?
A. Yup! And guess what? The rain will also water your garden as well!— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
Q. Will the Penguin be returning in this EP?
A. Not this time around. We couldn’t get them to leave the Antarctic.— Kate ? EA Play (@SimGuruKate) May 25, 2018
There are indeed some groovin' new radio stations ??
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
Sorry, no beaches as there's no new world, but there are plenty of other fun things to do in the summer 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
Previously existing saves will be prompted to pick a season once you first load them up. After that they'll go through the seasonal cycle just like saves made after Seasons.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
Question, will the swing set also be usable by teenagers??? PLEASE SAY YES! SWINGS ARE MY FAVORITE THING AS AN ADULT!!!
— Dreama Dove (@DreamaDove) May 25, 2018
Yep! One of them is particularly…chilling.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 24, 2018
Since you're able to create your own holiday, it would really rain on people's parades if you couldn't make Halloween 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 24, 2018
The kiddie pool was designed FOR toddlers. https://t.co/z6SwGXyRXx
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
The rain is gorgeous in the jungle… https://t.co/Wy7kDkVyhY
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
Yes. Worlds will have appropriate weather. Otherwise…I'd have to go into witness protection. https://t.co/agHyMV1OQv
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 24, 2018
Hmm. Oh yeah. We did do that.

Are you asking if lightning can kill Sims? It'd be a real buzzkill if it couldn't 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 25, 2018
I can't talk about snow right now, but you'll be able to change season length in options. When you start a new game or load up an existing non-Seasons save, you'll be able to pick a season to start in. I know this isn't satisfactory, but we'll be able to talk more in the future.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
Sorry, no soccer set. But there are other fun spring / summer activities this time around, as well as all the new gardening updates
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
This time around we're not using discrete temperatures (F vs. C squabbles), but it can get cold enough for blizzards and hot enough for heatwaves. As for individual neighborhood weathers, that's something for simmers to find out once they start playing 🙂
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
You can pick a starting season, but the seasons will follow the same cycle (spring-summer-fall-winter-spring). However, the handy Weather Controller object might let you change that…?
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 26, 2018
You tell me, I'm just a producer!
It's a weed vacuum. https://t.co/HiCnX5b3U5
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We didn't make Mermaids in Seasons. https://t.co/x2pTOzHVRp
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We did not implement horoscopes. https://t.co/M497w0BtDO
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
More traitssss

We haven't done the lounge chair yet. We know it's on your list of things to make. 🙂 https://t.co/lrbf6hPyhY
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Guys. We aren't done. I'm literally working with the team RIGHT NOW for YEARS out. Stop. Saying. We're. Done. We. Aren't. ❤️
I mean, just think of the stuff we haven't made that we know you want! https://t.co/h0WTdeibSf
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Right now we use Moodlets as a fairly standard feedback mechanism (using game design terminology), so yes. https://t.co/HCer7N6dqs
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
So, winter is obviously great. But, I was really delighted how much the team invested in Summer this time. The kiddie pool is ADORABLE. https://t.co/wFcmD9zAsl
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We have not added additional functionality to elevators. In talking to some wheelchair bound simmers the other day, it struck me that, if we can do an update for Sims in wheelchairs, enhancing elevators there makes so much sense. https://t.co/FQyunPOmoZ
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Sorta. https://t.co/Z8pv150eMg
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Not in the way you guys think, which is why I said sorta. https://t.co/iw5SZpAbfw
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We did not update Plant Sims. https://t.co/QA00WBX7gs
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
We have not made picnic baskets yet. https://t.co/FRqr6UR33s
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
No, but I've wanted this feature since City Living. https://t.co/AheoKFKAZ2
— Grant Rodiek (@SimGuruGrant) May 26, 2018
Yes, cats & dogs will be affected by weather. They behave differently in rain / snow.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 29, 2018
Cats & Dogs will react to the rain, but they might not run back indoors immediately. Some of them actually like staying out!
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 29, 2018
Some pets enjoy chilling in the rain, but eventually if they get too wet they'll run indoors.
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 29, 2018
There's new outfit categories, more than just winter ?
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 29, 2018
Whoops…consider this the official "leak" that toddlers will get Swimwear ?
— Emory (@SimGuruEmory) May 29, 2018
