The SimGuru’s over at Twitter have been answering all our burning questions about The Sims 4 Strangerville, so we decided to make a part 2 on our Q&A series.
Here is what they had to say:
Yes. Not to mention all the things that contribute to your general, typical Sims experience. https://t.co/1OUgSuybMn

There aren't crazy huge differences, but there are different ways to solve/progress through the story and some choices you can make at the end. Don't imagine anything too big, but we designed it to support multiple play styles.

The two venue lot types in StrangerVille are a Bar and a Library. Any Bar or Library in StrangerVille will have some of the special situations/interactions, no matter which lot you put them on.

Sorry, but there aren’t apartments in StrangerVille.

There are ways to play through the story again with the same save file. I don't want to spoil how though. 🙂
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 22, 2019
It's the same story each time. If you watch other playthroughs, you will have things spoiled for you.

The motor home is world deco. There seems to be a ton of interest in motor homes though so maybe we'll have to do something with them in the future.

Also depends on whether you only focus on the story or whether you weave it into your Sim's day-to-day stuff (work, other events, etc.). I know some people will think 3 – 5 hours is short, but stuff like the Military career, new world, and new objects give the pack longevity.

You can play the story with multiple Sims if you want to, but it's mainly geared around one Sim. When playing with multiple Sims, you'll sometimes want to transfer things from one Sim's inventory to another.

Same price as other game packs. In the US, that's $20. I'm not sure about pricing for other territories.
— Aaron Houts (@SimGuruHouts) February 21, 2019
Yes. New residential world, new objects to use, new Military career, new Build and decorative objects. You can play through the story multiple times if you want, but it's not randomly generated, so it won't be wildly different for new playthroughs. It's not a short story though.

I wish, but sorry, no. Don't want you guys to get hyped for something that's not there.

What stairs? There's no stairs? Even if there were (which there aren't) it would 100% be deco. So no point in trying them, amirite? But there's none so it doesn't even matter anyways.
Keep moving please.
