In The Sims 4, Custom Content and Modding has not only been approved, but it has also been encouraged thanks to the new technology platform based in the game.
Already some with The Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo have noticed a folder named Mods inside the User Data folder. As said in the recent Sims 4 Blog Post, it is said that the Mods Directory folder is there for the benefit of the Creators of Custom Content and Mods so it is easier to manage, add and remove their creations.
However, Lyndsay Pearson (Sr. Producer) and Darren Gyles (Technical Director) did warn readers that they are still working very hard on new features for this so it does not affect your gameplay whenever they enhance or update the game.
