SimGuruKate has just announced over at Twitter that a brand new update will be dropping 31st July but also announced that a Livestream will be happening on the same day too!
Set your alarms folks, barring unforeseen events (which as you know can happen), we’re planning a Twitch livestream on Tuesday, July 31st at 11 AM PST to discuss an update for The Sims 4 that will go live the same day. Stay tuned. https://t.co/tyLgSUu00F

The stream will be happening at 11am PST and will be held by the wonderful SimGuruGrant and SimGuruRomeo.
Hey Folks! I'll be on the stream. @SimGuruRomeo as well most likely. This isn't an EP or new game pack. But, more than just a typical update. Stay tuned, don't get too hyped 🙂 https://t.co/gDeQYqOI5h

We decided to see if it would be Cars but sadly SimGuruKate was quick to reply with this:
It is not cars.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
So sadly no it’s not cars :(. But they did announce that a big feature will be announced during the Livestream so we will find out what the feature is during the Livestream.
Bug Fixes + a Feature Update. That is all I will say. https://t.co/4mwsLpmZ2L

We will keep you posted once the Livestream is over or if more information is brought up but in the meantime follow both SimGuruGrant and SimGuruKate on Twitter to stay up to date with the latest news and announcements on The Sims 4.
SimGuruKate has just announced more information about the Livestream on her twitter account:
To all those asking if the Livestream is about X, Y, Z, A, B, or C, we can not share exactly what the feature is at this moment. I do assure you it's more than bug fixes. And the feature is one that we are excited about and that the team has been working hard on.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
Also if you stay tuned to the end of next week's Livestream, I will be sharing a bit more about the new plan we have for improving communication and transparency. For those who can't make the Livestream I'll be sharing details in an official forum post after the stream.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
Also to clarify, the Twitch livestream is about an update for PC/Mac. It is not for Mobile nor Console.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
Things this livestream is NOT about: Cars, New/Current Life States or Stages, NPCs, CAW, Open World/Neighborhood, Terrain Tools, Color Wheel, Beaches, Swimming, Newspapers, Pizza, Fruitcake, Llamas, Bunnies, Console or Mobile…I'm sure I am forgetting some. Now stop guessing!
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
Also not stairs!
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
I do completely understand the inclination to speculate on what the livestream will be about. While I'd love to give you exact details, we can't yet. But we knew that if we dropped a livestream on you without announcing first, many would be very unhappy.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
We are trying to find the right balance of when to communicate things, even when we can't reveal full details. We know this isn't perfect for all, and if you, as a community, would prefer to not know these things, we can reevaluate and adjust how/when we share things.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
I really appreciate all the feedback about how far in advance streams for non-pack updates should be announced. Once this update arrives, I think I will do an informal poll to see if a week felt like too much time based on the content of the update.
— Kate (@SimGuruKate) July 24, 2018
Until then, I ask that you remain patient and wait and see what it's all about. pic.twitter.com/VYKSW5bN2k
